SVE da Catarina em Craiova, Roménia

Already two months in Craiova, two moths that passed so fast that I feel I just arrived yesterday! Not two months of intense work or with a lot of activities but for sure two good months. 

Craiova is a beautiful city, not my dream city but a good one! The people are very nice and generous, always ready to help and also curious about the volunteers: where are we from, what are we doing here, if we are enjoying Romania, why Romania and all the questions that my short Romanian vocabulary let me answer. 

Since the last weeks we went to kinder gardens a couple times per week and there I was surprised in a positive way for the quality of the installations and the education of the children. Kids are very curious about us and it’s amazing how we can develop our Romanian communication skills with little children. 

Last week for the first time we meet some of the children who will be involved in our project and finally this week we started the activities with them. Till now my first impressions about them were very positive and I hope to develop a good work with them!

SVE na Roménia - projecto já aprovado!

Temos uma vaga aberta num projecto SVE já aprovado em Craiova, na Roménia! (Ainda não conheces o Serviço Voluntário Europeu? Visita a nossa página www para todas as informações!)

A estadia é de 5 meses; o projecto começará a 5 de Maio e decorrerá até 4 de Outubro. A organização de acolhimento é ANTER Craiova. As informações gerais acerca do projecto encontram-se na sua página na base de dados do SVE.

No projecto participarão 5 voluntários: 2 de Portugal, 1 de Espanha e 2 de Jordânia. Podem candidatar-se jovens dos 18 aos 30 anos de idade. Neste projecto prioridade será dada a jovens com menos oportunidades (lê aqui quem são os jovens com menos oportunidades).

Abaixo segue a descrição mais detalhada das actividades propostas ao voluntário:

The project “SPORT 4 A HEALTHY LIFE”  is a  European Voluntary Service application that proposes a volunteering service of 5 months in Craiova (Romania) carried out by 5 EVS volunteers from Germany, Poland, Portugal and Jordan. The project activities are based on the following themes: "Education through sport and outdoor activities " and " Roma communities ". 

The project objectives are:
1) to enhance among the 5 EVS volunteers the development of the main competencies required in facilitating/ managing  sport/outdoor non-formal activities in favour of Roma youth;
2) to increase, during the service, the degree of integration and active participation in the community life among 20 Roma young people from Craiova. 

The EVS volunteers will carry out the following tasks:
1) Tasks focused on the facilitation of sport/outdoor activities for young people (30 roma youth/other local yougsters) on the city sport grouds
2) Tasks focused on the protection of green spaces and their recommendation as valuable resources for leisure activities
3) E-Magazine promoting free time SPORT 4 A HEALTHY LIFE in Craiova
